Directed/ Written by Sam Raimi, 1981Anybody that knows anything about horror knows that this movie has it all. Maybe it doesn't have as much oomph as Dead by Dawn, but then again the budget was the issue. This cult classic starts with five college kids headed to a cabin for some chill time in the Tennessee middle of nowhere. After finding a voice recording of passages read from the Book of the Dead (Necronomicon), strange things start happenning. One-by-one they all start turning into demonically possessed zombie things, until only one person is left. Bruce Campbell plays Ash, the last man standing. Watch Ash fight for his life by dismembering all his friends in a blood bath bonanza. One of my faves.
