Okay, based on the plot this movie should be pretty easy to follow, right? Guy meets girl, girl gets knocked up, baby is a strange deformed creature, lives torn apart.
Said to be set in a post-apocalyptic world, poor Henry Spencer is on "vacation" from his job at the printing factory when he learns that his girlfriend, Mary, had his child who was being kept at the hospital. Not even the doctors know what this child is. Henry, being a stand-up guy agrees to marry her and take care of this little bundle of...uuum yeah. Mary moves in with him in this funked up apartment. Dirty, dirty, gross. Unfortunately, the child's disfigurement and constant cries take their toll on mother Mary's patience and maternal drive, ultimately leaving the child in Henry's care. With all this baby mama and baby monster drama, what's a "vacationing" factory worker to do but bang the freak nasty neighbor across the hall? Keep in mind, that through all this, nightmarish images and situations arise giving you this feeling of "This is almost too creepy to watch" For the sake of surprises, I'll exclude the ending.
Eraserhead is a must-see.
